The second day of the work-shop in Cieszyn

The second day of the seminar ((Workshop) in Cheshin, Poland) was completed. Participants of the international project “High school teacher competence in change”, with the assistance of the Visegrad Fund and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands. A study conducted by research teams from four countries – Ukraine, Poland, Slovakia, and the Czech Republic – has already produced concrete results that make it possible to make further comparative conclusions, to determine the general tendencies of the development of the competences of high school teachers.
The seminar participants agreed on further steps to implement the project objectives. Namely:

  • they have identified unified statistical approaches to the analysis of research results in all partner countries;
  • the structure of recommendations for the complex of competences of high school teachers has been agreed;
  • actualized the problem of popularizing the results of the project in scientific journals.
    We have a co-ordinated scientific team, a real scientific consortium !!!

VIDEO CONFERENCE

On April 12, 2018, a videoconference with colleagues from partner countries (Poland, Slovakia, Czech Republic) was held within the framework of the Visegrad project No.21720008 “Competences of the teacher of higher school in change”, which was devoted to the implementation of the first phase of the project.

Teams from four countries exchanged information on the state of the research and outlined further joint actions.

Project Coordinator Liudmyla Khoruzha, Prof., PhDr., outlined the methodological approaches to comparing the research results, as well as the methods of their popularization. The video conference was attended by the fifth partner of the project – the International non-governmental organization “Ukrainian Academy acmeology. Secretary of Academy Yana Fruktova, Ph.D., ass. Prof., talked about the peculiarities of the Academy’s work and the work plan of the international section that was created within the project.

The video conference was held in a constructive and friendly spirit.

Information for March 15, 2018

March 15, 2018 meeting of the Ukrainian group of the Visegrad project took place.

The following issues were discussed:

1. End of Phase I of the project.

2. Analysis of research results.

3. Preparation for the May turkish shop.

4. Preparation for publication of the report on the results of the study.

5. Clarification of the names of competencies presented in the blocks of the questionnaire.

All urgent problems that arose during the discussion were solved.

Information for January 28, 2018

During January 2018, Borys Grinchenko University of Kyiv implemented the first stage of the study, carried out within the framework of the international project “Competences of the teacher of higher education in the age of change”.

The project participants developed the author’s diagnostic toolkit for research, the target groups of the questionnaire were identified. In total 125 teachers and 269 students of our university were polled. A similar study is taking place at partner universities: the University of Silesia, Kotovice (Poland), the University of Ostrava (Czech Republic), the University of Banská Bystrica (Slovakia).

The generalization of the obtained statistics will make it possible to formulate criteria for the professional activity of teachers of modern high school.

On January 24, a regular meeting of the working group (Ukraine) of the Visegrad project took place.

On the agenda issues related to the results of diagnosis and their qualitative interpretation were discussed.

Information for November 28, 2017

On November 28, a regular meeting of the “five” of the Visegrad project took place.

It discussed issues related to the diagnostic content toolkit. After discussion, the questionnaires were approved for teachers and students.

The team analyzed the working package submitted by Olga Melnychenko made their suggestions.

Also discussed were further financial issues and creation issues a full-fledged site that will host news and information for everyone project partners.

The joint decision approved the logo of the project.
